Update of events since the last Parish Council meeting held 16th March 2020

Issues brought up in the Public Forum
The road sweeper did road side sweeping in the whole village.
One street light reported as now fixed the other still in progress.
Co-option of 2 Councillors
Both Emyr Morris and Anne Fotheringham have signed the Declaration of Acceptance of office and the Register of Members Interests. WLDC agreed to accept these documents electronically and an acknowledgement of receipt has been received.
Volunteer group for self- isolating and vulnerable residents
A huge response was generated to the flyer that was sent to all households for offers of help.
We now have a total of 9. The group is registered with the Communities and Volunteer coordination Cell and all volunteers have signed and returned an Indemnity Form for insurance purposes.
So far we have requests for 2 dog walking, 2 shopping and 2 prescriptions to be taken to Willingham Surgery. Don and I have dealt with the above but will be delegating now all the volunteers forms have been signed.
Post Office
No further progress.
Church Road Drain
The job has been signed off as no further action. Fortunately there has been little rain so not sure how the situation is. We will keep monitoring it.
SID
We have had SID for 2 months now. I month near Lodge Lane and the other on Padmoor Lane. I have checked with Kexby and they are happy for us to keep it until the present situation is lifted.
Next location to be High St. near The Hall.
Quantum Air Fibre
A received email was circulated for your information. Following this I had received an enquiry about the poor quality of broadband from a resident. This sparked off a debate on FB. I passed on this information about this new provider and from that there was a considerable amount of interest and enquiries had been made to the company.
The company called me and asked if they could come to one of our meetings to discuss it further with the residents. The 13th October has been pencilled in for this. I will publicise this nearer the time. It was also suggested a shared meeting with Kexby.

An email was previously circulated with the latest guidance on the legislation regarding the Governance and Accountability Return. Patrick was given a printed copy. The date has been extended allowing this to be completed at our next meeting. All accounts are up to date so all ready to go as soon as we can.
Chairman and Vice chairman
In the present situation the legal advice given from the government is: that the current Chairman and Vice Chairman will remain in position until either an election at the next meeting or remain until the Annual Parish Council Meeting May 2021.
Bus shelter Cleaning
We normally get both bus shelters cleaned around this time of year. Please let me know if you would like me to arrange this with the usual contractor.
